For 2018-19, our Rotary International President, Barry Rassin, challenged each Rotary Club to support the strategic priorities of Rotary by achieving specific goals. There were 21 goals defined covering 4 categories. Those categories were:
1.) Support and Strengthen Clubs
2.) Focus and Increase Humanitarian Service
3.) Enhance Rotary’s Public Image and Awareness
4.) Rotary Citation with Presidential Distinction
Each of first three had six possible goals clearly defined and each needed to have three or more achieved.
The 4th category had 3 goals defined and required one or more to achieved.
Quoting from Barry Rassin. (where he is embellishing a quote of Paul Harris)
“As Paul Harris put it, “Rotary is a microcosm of a world at peace, a model which nations will do well to follow.” To me, Rotary is not only a model but an inspiration. It shows us what is possible, inspires us to reach for it, and gives us a path to act — and to Be the Inspiration to our world.”
