Mike Lindstrom to apprise the club of his recent FBI training

Next Monday our very own Mike Lindstrom will give a special presentation with high lights from his career and recent FBI training.

You all know him, you all love him, he carries a gun and taser to every meeting so you have to, but we love him anyway.

Mike is originally from Jamestown, New York and moved south about 24 years ago. He was hired by the Fulton County Police in 1995 and spent most of his career in the north part of the county until he made detective and moved down to that office which was located off of Fulton Industrial Boulevard. Mike came over to the Sandy Springs Police Department as a detective when they started in 2006. He was promoted to Sergeant in 2007 and then to Captain in 2015. He is currently assigned as the North District Commander.
He has a Bachelor's Degree from Buffalo State College and a Master's Degree from Columbus State, Georgia. Last year he was selected to attend the Senior Management Institute for Police held at Boston University. SMIP is a program of the Police Executive Research Forum that provides senior police executives with intensive training in the latest management concepts and practices used in business and government. It also features discussions of the most challenging issues facing law enforcement executives today.
This year he was chosen to attend the FBI National Academy. The FBI National Academy is a professional course of study for U.S. and international law enforcement managers nominated by their agency heads because of demonstrated leadership qualities. The 10-week program-which provides coursework in intelligence theory, terrorism and terrorist mindsets, management science, law, behavioral science, law enforcement communication, and forensic science-serves to improve the administration of justice in police departments and agencies at home and abroad and to raise law enforcement standards, knowledge, and cooperation worldwide.
Mike has been married to his wife Debbie for 17 years and they have two dogs, Madden and Maxie. And a cat named Skechers.
