Last week Carol stressed the investments The Home Depot is making in their business. Curiously she spoke of their number 1 competitor as being Amazon, rather than Lowes.
She spoke of The Home Depot's values and how the customers are at the top of an inverted pyramid.
She also shared information regarding their response to the current Hurricane Florence. Carol stated: "The Home Depot mobilized to be the part of the first responder team in North Carolina." She added that they had all their stores open and their prices were frozen. "There was not price gouging." Later she stated The Home Depot had also sent $20 million in cash to their associates for immediate use as loans.
