PRESIDENT'S CORNER President Lisa Stueve's Welcome Message
I’d like to take this opportunity to share a bit about our current club vice president, and District 6900 Assistant Governor, Jim Squire.
At the 2017 District 6900 Conference, Jim Squire was approved to become the 2019-20 District Governor. Jim served as Rotary Club of Sandy Springs president (2013-14) and his Rotary service and recognitions include District Assistant Governor, the Sheffield Leadership and Follow Me Assistant Governor of the Year Awards, 2017 Rotary International Convention HOC Executive Committee and Chair of Festival Events, District Shriners Hospitals Collaboration Chair, Youth Services Chair, Planning Coach, and Leadership Exchange Mentor, District Conference Governor’s Aide and Sergeant-at-Arms Chair, Rotary Foundation Bequest Society and Benefactor, Paul Harris Society and Paul Harris Fellow +6, GRSP Will Watt Fellow, RLI Graduate + 2 Graduate Courses, Georgia Rotary Laws of Life Board, two Sandy Springs Rotary Club “Service Above Self” Awards, and sponsor of ten Rotary Club members.
Jim has served as a mentor and guide to me as a board member and current president, and it is with pride and pleasure that we celebrate his service. If you haven’t already, find time to sit with Jim at lunch and have him share his passion for Service Above Self.

As a part of the North Fulton Rotary Council we are participating in one of the Rotary International Convention Atlanta 2017 Host Hospitality Events as a sponsor. The limited ticket sales, 250 total, for our International guests to Atlanta have all been sold and now we need you!

Ashton Kutcher to speak about his work to end child sexual exploitation
Ashton Kutcher, co-founder of Thorn, actor, tech investor, and philanthropist will join the End of Modern Slavery panel discussion during the second general session on Monday, 12 June.
Thorn partners with nonprofits and academic institutions to gather new insights into the role technology plays in child sex trafficking, the creation and proliferation of child pornography, and the normalization of child sexual exploitation. Thorn then goes beyond insight to action to develop the tools, systems, and approaches to help address these issues.
Other panelists include moderator Bob Hope, Atlanta Convention Promotion Committee adviser; U.S. Senator Bob Corker; and Gary Haugen, CEO of International Justice Mission.
