Monday, October 3rd, The Rotary Club of Sandy Springs had the pleasure of hearing Mr. Keith T. Parker, President & CEO of Goodwill of North Georgia, speak about the many great services Goodwill provides for our community and their accomplishments thus far.
Goodwill's mission is to put people to work. For more than 90 years, Goodwill has been dedicated to leading people on a path to self-sufficiency regardless of age, race, religion, sexual orientation, criminal background or education. 85% of the funds they use to help put people to work come from the retail sales in their store fronts. These stores are driven by the donations that the community provides. In addition to generating revenue to help a good cause, donations also have a positive environmental impact. In 2021 alone, they were able to divert almost 44 million pounds of material from landfills.
In Parker's five-year tenure with Goodwill of North Georgia he has
These results have made Goodwill of North Georgia the #1 Goodwill in the country for the last 3 years and made them one of the most impactful workforce nonprofits in the country.
Thank you for all you do for our Community, our State, and even our Country, Keith. Keep up the excellent work!

The Rotary Club of Sandy Springs is proud to announce that we raised over 300 food items to be donated to Solidarity Sandy Springs.
Solidarity Sandy Springs started their pantry with the idea that they would help food-insecure school families during the COVID shutdowns. That small act grew into a community movement to help families that were being overlooked and in need. It is our great honor to help the families feel uplifted, supported, and food secure.
