Past Program
Ann Honious- Superintendent of CRNRA

March 14th, 2022  Superintendent of the Chattahooche River National Recreation Area (CRNRA), Ann Honious spoke to the Sandy Springs about all the great things the CRNRA is doing to preserve and enhance the Parklands along 48-miles of the beautiful Chattahoochee River.

The CRNRA is the 22nd most visited Park in the National Park System and attracts a people for many types of activities including hiking, biking, boating, fishing, and more.

70% of Atlanta's water supply comes from the Chattahoochee River so keeping it clean is a very important aspect of some of the work the National Park Services does for the CRNRA.

Some of Ann's Visions and Goals for the park as Superintendent include:

  • Communication
  • Partnerships
  • Park Awareness
  • Diversity and Inclusion
  • Safety
  • Accountability

Honious and her team at the National Park Service are currently nearing completion of a Comprehensive Trails Management Plan to address the park's needs and will partner with Chattahoochee National Park Conservancy to help secure resources for the long-range implementation of the plan.

Thank you for coming to speak to the Club and keep up the great work Ann!
