Dr. Laura Szymanski to address the Sandy Springs Rotary Club
On Monday October 14, at 12:00pm the Rotary Club of Sandy Springs would like to welcome Dr. Laura Szymanski, Clinical Research Coordinator at NeuroStudies to be our guest speaker.
Dr. Laura Szymanski is a Clinical Research Coordinator at NeuroStudies. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Neuroscience from Texas Christian University, and then went on to earn a Ph.D. in Behavioral Neuroendocrinology from Lehigh University. Dr. Szymanski has been working with NeuroStudies since 2015. NeuroStudies is an experienced, clinical research group dedicated to the development of safe and effective treatments to help prevent memory loss and dementia. Part of our mission at NeuroStudies is to educate seniors and their families about brain health during aging, and we provide free dementia and brain health talks to senior living communities throughout the Decatur and greater Atlanta areas. Our experts provide information about the latest trends in research about Alzheimer's disease prevention, as well as opportunities for people to take part in dementia prevention research. We also provide helpful lifestyle tips to maintain brain health and wellness throughout life.

A moving message from Jocelyn Dorsey
On September 30, 2019 Ms. Jocelyn Dorsey of WSB-TV Channel Two fame addressed the Rotary club of Sandy Springs. She told the inspirational story of her father who worked unwaveringly through adversity and prejudice to achieve his goals. He was her inspiration to keep reaching higher and to blaze a trail for many news correspondents and anchors to follow her steps.
During her brief presentation she touched on many of the issues that she faced in her career. Though she is retired now, she has not quit striving to make our city a better place to live by leveraging her wisdom and prominent name to help many charities including UNICEF USA, Sisters By Choice, The Children's Restoration Network and many more.
The Rotary Club of Sandy Springs experienced technical audio difficulties during Mrs. Dorsey's presentation and a video presentation that she had hoped to show during the meeting failed to play correctly. So, for a limited time only her video can be seen by clicking the image below. Enjoy.
