Upcoming Program - Revised
The Atlanta Angels - A New Kind of Foster Care

This is a quick news update. Our guest speaker for Monday has been altered.

Christie Simons from Angel Alliance was scheduled to visit with the Rotary Club of Sandy Springs Monday, June 28th. She is unfortunately unable to join us. In her stead two representatives from Angel Alliance will be presenting. Please welcome Amanda Price and Savannah Pierce to the podium as our guest speakers.

Amanda Price is the Director of Corporate Relations for Angel Alliance. Amanda has spent her professional career in healthcare IT and is currently leading Product Operations and Data Management at nThrive. She graduated from Georgia Tech with a degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering. Amanda enjoys working with people and serving her exceptional team. She is passionate about children and wants every child to know that they are loved, wanted, and cared for deeply. Amanda connects with Atlanta Angels mission and is eager to make an impact in families' lives. Amanda does life with her three loves - husband Joe, daughter Madison, and dog Sasha.

Savannah Pierce is a Case Manager for Angel Alliance. Savannah studied International Affairs and History at the University of Georgia. Through her studies, she learned about how the function of a society and its institutions, like the foster care system, could impact people’s quality of life. After graduation, Savannah worked with a family law attorney, where she helped families navigate through the difficulties of divorce, child custody, and family reunification. When Savannah learned about the life outcomes for children in foster care, she decided to leave the legal world and work with Atlanta Angels. Her interest in trauma, adverse childhood experiences (ACEs), and attachment, as well as her university studies, support her belief that a new foster care system centered around community, empowerment, and hope, can help us achieve a more just and healthy world where everyone can thrive.

Growing up in small rural towns in both Louisiana and in South Georgia, Savannah was instilled with a love of nature and of her community. She enjoys being outdoors and spending quality time with her beautiful, blended family.
